AIGNEP Donation for the Race UP Team’s EBS System
We are proud to support the Race UP Team from the University of Padua in the development of the Emergency Brake System (EBS) — an innovative emergency braking system designed for the vehicle’s autonomous driving mode.
The EBS consists of two independent pneumatic lines, each controlled by solenoid valves and actuators connected to the brake pedal. In the event of an error during operation or at the end of a test run, the system allows the vehicle to stop completely autonomously, ensuring safety and compliance with competition regulations.
We also supplied 02VD panel-mounted microvalves, essential for creating manual bypasses for the pneumatic lines.
This solution enabled the team to develop an electric vehicle capable of operating in both manual and autonomous modes, expanding research and experimentation opportunities in the field of future mobility.
A small component, a big step toward the future of intelligent mobility.
