Fafe (Portugal), Round 5 of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship
A second consecutive weekend in Portugal for the KTM Pro Racing Team, taking part in Round 5 of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Fafe. The organizers of Moto Club Natureza Alternativa Associação Cultural Desportiva presented a completely revised course compared to the previous week: three special tests — Extreme Test, Enduro Test and Cross Test — covering a total of 300 kilometres and 17 timed stages across Saturday and Sunday, preceded by Friday evening’s Supertest.
ROMAIN DAGNA — JUNIOR 2
A positive weekend for Romain Dagna, who claimed victory in the Junior 2 class on Saturday and finished among the frontrunners across both days of competition. The French rider relinquishes the championship lead but remains fully in contention for the world title.
SIMONE CAGNONI — YOUTH
A double podium for Simone Cagnoni in the Youth class. The Italian showed great consistency throughout the weekend, confirming his qualities on a demanding course. Despite losing the championship lead, he remains one of the key contenders in the category.
GABIN ALLEMAND — ABSENT
Gabin Allemand did not take part in the Fafe round, continuing his recovery from the injury suffered at the opening round of the season.
TEAM-SUPPORTED RIDERS
Strong performances also from the riders supported by the KTM Pro Racing Team, who collected notable results in their respective categories. In the Youth class, Mille Söderblom showed consistency across both days. In Junior 2, Alfons Lindström continued to build valuable experience at international level. In the Open classes, Kacper Baklarz stood out in the 2T with two second-place finishes, while Robin Wiss came close to the podium in the 4T on Sunday.
ALEX BELOMETTI — TEAM MANAGER
“It wasn’t one of our best weekends, but we’re heading home with important results and valuable insights to work on. The team gave everything and I’m satisfied with everyone’s commitment. We have a short break ahead of us, then we’ll be back racing with even more determination.”
