0B160 serie – Safety Quick Coplings in European profile!
This is the type of connection fittings designed to quickly and securely connect or disconnect hoses, air tools, like impact wrenches, drills, sanders. This line of couplings is intended to save time where frequent connection and disconnection are needed.
The 0B160 sockets features a push-button mechanism that , when pressed, releases safely the locking system depressurizing the air first. Unlike the previous series, it is necessary to press twice to release the plug. This is preventing accidental or unintentional disconnection in order to to make safe workers and the working environment. The coupling body is made of aluminium, the button and the springs in steel, the seals are NBR, while the threaded part is in brass nickel plated. The nominal diameter is 7.8 mm which grants a max flow of 2000 Nl/min at 6 bar free exhaust.
0B161 is the socket with parallel male thread with O-ring and 0B162 is the version with female thread, both available in size 1/4 -3/8-1/2. 0B165 is the socket with rubber hose available in size 6-8-10-12. For a long-lasting performance of the safety effect, the use of steel plugs is recommended. The safety quick couplings are widely used in Industrial, Automotive, Agricultural and Pneumatic applications.
