Podium for Allemand too at the France GP of EnduroGP
Alex Belometti’s Team KTM Pro Racing wraps up the sixth and second-to-last round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, held in Saint-Agrève, France, organized by Moto Club Les Razmottes. The course featured 67 km to be covered three times on Saturday and 51.5 km on Sunday, with the Cross Test, Enduro Test, Xtreme Test special stages and the SuperTest on Friday evening.
A hard-fought weekend for Team KTM Pro Racing, which celebrates Simone Cagnoni’s first world win, Gabin Allemand’s return to the podium and Romain Dagna’s confirmed lead in the Junior 2.
Dagna, struggling with less-than-optimal physical condition, finished 2nd and 3rd in class over the two days, keeping the lead in Junior 2. In the Junior Overall, however, he slipped to 3rd in the championship, 26 points off the top: the Wales GP will be decisive.
Cagnoni claimed his first Enduro World Championship win on Saturday in the Youth class, coming close to a double on Sunday with a 2nd place finish: he remains firmly in the title fight.
Allemand returned to the world podium with a 3rd place on Sunday, his first in about a year after a season marked by injuries.
Solid results also for Lindström (7th-8th in Junior 2), Söderblom (16th-18th in Youth) and Baklarz, 3rd in Open 2T.
Team manager Alex Belometti expressed satisfaction with Cagnoni’s and Allemand’s wins, while for Dagna he confirmed the goal of defending the Junior 2 lead and making up ground in the Overall at the final GP of the season.
