Finland welcomes back EnduroGP: an epic battle in Vierumäki

27 May 2026

Three years of waiting, relentless rain and treacherous terrain: the third round of the World Championship delivered a spectacular show.

The Finnish forests welcomed back EnduroGP after three years of absenceRelentless rainimpressive elevation changes and a large crowd made the weekend in Vierumäki one of the most spectacular of the season, right from the Friday evening Super Test.

Samuele Bernardini clocked the 3rd fastest time overall in the E1 category at the Super Test on Friday, then came home 4th on Saturday with top-3 category times throughout the first day. Sunday saw him finish in 6th place, but his determination to return to the E1 podium is clear for all to see.

Max Ahlin collected two consecutive fourth-place finishes in E2, coming within just 7 seconds of the podium on Sunday. His consistency is the most encouraging sign of the weekend: the podium is only a matter of time.

Valentino Corsi had a tougher weekend in the J1 category, finishing 10th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday, with 13th place in the Junior scratch classification as his best overall result. At this level every mistake counts, but every Grand Prix brings valuable experience.

The typical Scandinavian conditions pushed every team and rider in the World Championship to their limits. Next up: mid-June and rounds 4 and 5 in Fafe, Portugal.
